We´ll also be printing 100 copies to be sold on our website, with all profits going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation ® UK.

We will also be choosing a runner up, and will award them with a children´s gift experience on us worth £100.”

Kellogg’s New Lower Sugar Kids Cereals

Kellogg’s New Lower Sugar Kids Cereals

I am a true believer that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

I need to have breakfast as soon as I wake up and I always make sure little man has his breakfast too.

He usually has cereal as it is easy and convenient. I was excited when I found out about some changes to Kellogg’s children’s cereal portfolio.

Kelloggs Honey Loops

Kelloggs Honey Loops

Kellogg’s knows it can be hard to find the right balance of what your little ones need, and the taste they love, so they are adding four new lower sugar products to their range which will offer mums greater choice at breakfast time.

Kelloggs Honey Pops

Kelloggs Honey Pops

Coco Pops Croc Prints, Rice Krispies Multigrain Strawberry, Honey Loops and Honey Pops are familiar brands but have healthier recipes- so you can still feel good about giving them to your kids.

Fact: They are lower in sugar, lower in salt, made with wholegrain, high in fibre and a source of Vitamin D (25 per cent Recommended Daily Amount). They’ll start to appear in store from this month.

Kelloggs Coco Pops Croc Prints

Kelloggs Coco Pops Croc Prints

This quartet of new cereals are also healthy enough that they meet the strict criteria to be advertised to children.

They are part of Kellogg’s on-going strategy to launch new products which offer parents a greater choice of breakfast cereals when they do their food shop.

Kelloggs Rice Krispies Multigrain Strawberry

Kelloggs Rice Krispies Multigrain Strawberry

Kellogg’s thinks they have listened to what mums have been saying about wanting lower sugar cereals which offer good nutrition, that kid’s will actually eat, so they are really proud of what they have achieved.

What did we think of Kellogg’s new cereals?

The whole family has been involved in trying them and we loved them all.

Kellogg’s Honey Loops (RRP £2.69) are tasty mixed wholegrain cereal loops with honey. It’s mummy’s favourite.

Kellogg’s Honey Pops (RRP £2.69) are delicious sugar and honey coated crunchy multi grain cereal. It is daddy’s favourite.

Kellogg’ s Coco Pops Croc Prints (RRP £2.69) are yummy chocolate flavoured wheat, wholewheat and rice cereal shapes. It is little man’s favourite.

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Strawberry (RRP £2.69) are funky multi-grain shapes in strawberry flavour.

Kellogg’s has provided a selection of their new cereals for one of my readers.

Groupon Deal - North Wales

Groupon Deal – North Wales

Over half term, we had the pleasure to visit North Wales for the very first time.

When Groupon asked me if I wanted to review one of their deals, I started checking Groupon Travel Deals to find a suitable one.

The Ambassador Hotel in North Wales

The Ambassador Hotel in North Wales

Groupon UK is a city guide with a twist. Since 2009, their team has taken pride in handpicking deals to direct you to the best things to do, see, eat and buy at spots on your very own stomping ground, as well as unearthed gems further afield.

Think of Groupon as a tool of discovery – like a compass with impeccable taste.

Ambassador Hotel View

View from the Ambassador Hotel

Groupon deals are based upon collective buying power, and bringing people together is at the core of all they do.

I must confess I am not new to Groupon, I have been using it for some time. We have bought several deals from river cruises to ice skating.

I love saving money and getting a good deal, so Groupon is right up my street. If you haven’t used Groupon before, it is really simple.

You can sign up to the website and receive email notifications with deals. You can also download the app and check Groupon on your phone.

The deals change often, so you need to keep checking to get what you need/ want.

The Ambassador Hotel Room

Room at The Ambassador Hotel

There is a wide selection of deals from home and garden, style and beauty, electronics and kitchen.

You can also book getaway deals for UK breaks, city breaks, sun holidays and experiences. I’m sure you will find one to suit your taste and budget.

We picked a Two Night Stay for Two in North Wales with Breakfast, Cream Tea and Buck’s Fizz at the Ambassador Hotel for only £79.

The Ambassador Hotel Breakfast

Breakfast at The Ambassador Hotel

In our deal, it was included: Double or twin en suite room with TV and hot drink facilities.

The deal also included Full Welsh breakfast each day and Cream tea with fruit scones, strawberry preserve, and cream with a Glass of Buck’s Fizz each.

By booking it through Groupon, we saved up to £98 as we received a discount of up to 55%.

The Ambassador Hotel Cream Tea

Cream Tea at The Ambassador Hotel

That’s the beauty of Groupon, you get the same service but you pay less for it.

We all had a lovely break in North Wales, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and friendly.

The Ambassador Hotel is a 19th century seaside hotel located in Llandudno resort town.

It was very relaxing seeing the beach from the window of our room.

Groupon Travel Deal: North Wales Break

Groupon Travel Deal: North Wales Break

The breakfast was full of flavour, there was a selection of juices and cereals on the buffet table.

The cooked breakfast was cooked to order, you can just ask the waiter what you would like and it would be served to your table.

The cream tea was very tasty, it was a nice touch to our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador Hotel and we would definitely come back again.

Needless to say, we would continue using Groupon to save us money.

Check out Groupon Travel Deals for their latest deals, you could go somewhere nice over Easter holidays.

Competition and Review: Win 1 of 4 Learn to Read with the Alphablocks DVD

Alphablocks vol1Little man enjoys watching CBeebies and Alphablocks is one of his favourite shows.  Alphablocks is the hit CBeebies show for 3 to 7 years old who are learning to read.

I really like it too as the Alphablocks are 26 living letters who fall out of the sky and discover that if they hold hands and make a word, it magically comes to life.

Alphablocks is based on the best-practice phonics teaching and helps children develop essential skills and confidence with reading. Alphablocks was created to follow the school curriculum helping children to learn to read at home.

A few weeks ago, Learn to Read with the Alphablocks, Phonics First Steps Volume 1, was launched. Based on best-practice phonics, your child will laugh and learn with the little letter people and their adventures, songs and all kinds of fun and games.

This DVD features 18 episodes and Parent Guide, it also comes with a free Alphablocks Alphabet poster.

Little man will be starting school in September, so he’s at the perfect age to start reading. Volume 1, Phonics First Steps, introduces the first letters and sounds that children are taught at school and starts them off making simple words.

With repeat viewing, children can build key phonics skills and boost their reading confidence while having lots and lots of fun. Little man loves Alphablocks DVD, they are great to watch and learn to read at home.

I love the fact that it is an educational DVD, perfect for little learners. Learn to Read with the Alphablocks DVD can be purchased from all good DVD stores.

Competition & Review: Pumpazing Action Game by Drumond Park

Pumpazing Action Game by Drumond Park

Pumpazing Action Game by Drumond Park

Little man really likes Drumond Park games, we have reviewed Spin Mania and Box of Shocks!

Pumpazing (RRP £19.99) is an exciting, energising pumping game, developed specifically for pre-schoolers up to around 6 years old.

Pumpazing is incredibly simple to operate even the under-threes will be able to get their little arms pumping away on Zingy – their cheeky, colourful friend.

Zingy, Zinger Heads and Zingy Cards

Zingy, Zinger Heads and Zingy Cards

He’s a mischievous character who emits hilarious sounds and will get them jigging and jumping around as they pump, pump, pump away – trying not to get buzzed!

Pumpazing comes complete with four coloured Zinger heads – and it’s child’s play to place the Zingers in position along the top of the Zingy. In the simple ‘starter’ version of the game, little children take it in turns – pass-the-parcel style – to pump Zingy’s arms as fast and furiously as they can until Zingy shouts “zing” or “boing” and one of the Zingers comes flying off…

Pumpazing Action Game

Pumpazing Action Game

Then it’s on to the next player as fast as they can! But if Zingy says “Uh Oh” as the Zinger shoots across as the room, the player is out – and the next child grabs Zingy and starts pumping away! In the meantime, the other players will also be getting a work-out, running all over the place to pick up the Zingers!

Older children will enjoy playing the full version of the game, where they start off with an allocation of Zingy Cards, depending on the number of children playing.

Pumpazing

Pumpazing

Because if Zingy says “Uh-Oh”, they lose a card… and they just never know when he’s going to do it. It’s a manic, crazy pump to the last – with screams and wails of laughter, frustration, and finally … triumph! The last player with a Life Card left is the winner!

Pumpazing is unusual because it’s a lively action game that even really little pre-schoolers can enjoy. I must admit that little man liked Zingy and the Zinger heads as soon as he saw them. He’s been enjoying Pumpazing and having a great time.

I really like the fact that you can adapt Pumpazing depending on the age of the children playing. If they are little, you can play without the cards, and if they are a bit older, they can have the Zingy Cards to make Pumpazing even more entertaining.

COMPETITION: Win 1 of 3 Bionsen Mineral Deodorants Sets

Bionsen Logo Last summer I reviewed Bionsen and loved their Deodorants with Japanese Spa Minerals.

All deodorants are lightly fragranced, dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and aluminium and paraben free.

Containing a unique blend of Japanese Spa Minerals, Bionsen’s aluminium and paraben free deodorant range gently deodorises whilst allowing your body’s natural perspiration, so you can stay fresh naturally.

Bionsen Range

Bionsen Range

Bionsen’s hypoallergenic-approved formula effectively neutralises bacteria responsible for body odour, while its lightly perfumed fragrance protects sensitive and delicate skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and cool.

Tested by the Clinic of Dermatology at Siena University, all Bionsen products are formulated using vital minerals found in the volcanic spas of Japan (known as ‘Onsen’), long-prized for their ability to nourish the skin and keep it healthy.

Bionsen Roll-on

Bionsen Roll-on

The entire Bionsen range is free from aluminium and parabens which have been linked with skin irritation or allergic skin reactions in those with sensitive skin.

Some research suggests possible links between these chemicals and breast cancer, although further research is needed.

Bionsen believes that women should be empowered to make an informed choice about their health, and those who would rather not risk it, can take advantage of one of the five products in the Bionsen range:

Bionsen Pump Spray

Pump Spray

Deodorant Stick (40ml), Deodorant Roll-On (50ml), Deodorant Pump Spray (100ml), Deodorant Aerosol Spray (150ml) and Deo Total Body (20g crystals).
