While I was at the Allergy and Free From Show in London, I had to stop at the Nakd Wholefoods stand. There was a large selection of yummy raw fruit and nuts bars. After tasting it, I had to offer to review on my blog as I wanted to tell my readers how tasty Nakd bars are.

Nakd Wholefoods are healthy snacks, made with 100% natural ingredients. It is nourishing, cold-pressed, never baked and with no added sugar or syrups. They are gluten, wheat and dairy free. Not only it is healthy, it is very tasty too!

I was given four delicious Nakd bars to review: Cashew Cookie, Cocoa Delight, Cocoa Mint and Cocoa Orange.

Cashew Cookie Nakd bar is made with only cashews and dates and it is simply delicious.

As I am lactose intolerant, it was a treat to have chocolate Nakd bars. The chocolate bars are made with dates, cashews, raisins, cocoa and natural chocolate flavouring.

Cocoa Delight has a nice chocolate taste, it is a delight. Cocoa Mint has a hint of natural mint flavouring, it is lovely and minty. Cocoa Orange has a hint of natural orange flavouring. Not only I was having a chocolate fix, Nakd chocolate bars are full of fruit and it contributes to 1 of your 5 a day. It is a tasty way to boost your fruit intake.

Instead of having over-processed foods, you can have delicious nourishing wholefoods with Nakd bars. Check out their website for a full range of healthy and tasty Nakd products.

Nakd Bars can be purchased for RRP £13.99 for 18 bars, which works out at only £0.78 per bar. Great price for such a lovely bar.

Review: Raw Skin Food Mab Fabulous Set

As you might be aware, I have rosacea and sometimes it flares up when I am under stress. As a result of having sensitive skin, I can only use a few skin product brands. I was delighted to see Raw Skin Food at the Allergy and Free From Show in London and meet Richard.

Raw Skin Food products are natural, vegan and free of eight common food allergens. Raw Skin Food products are of spa quality, high performance products which promote a holistic and homeopathic regime for use at home. It is suitable for the whole family to enjoy and relieve of their skin ailments.

I have been using the Mab Fabulous range, gentle Mother and Baby products, which is ideal for sensitive and oily skin prone to irritation. My skin tends to irritate easily due to my rosacea and I do not feel very comfortable when my skin is irritated. The Mab Fabulous Range is especially brilliant for infants, those with hormonal imbalance & skin tissue exposed severe skin ailment and allergy intolerances. The range was carefully formulated with consultation from NHS midwifery and skincare experts who advised on using Omega Rich, High in Vitamins & anti inflammatory ingredients.

I have been using the Mab Fabulous range and I can see a noticeable improvement of my skin. First I massage the Superbly Gentle Facial Cleansing Milk into my face for a creamy gently cleanse to lift off excess oil, followed by the Superbly Gentel Face & Body Tonique which controls and conceals open pores with a soothing tonique/mist which you spray liberally onto the face, neck & body to reduce shine, treating redness (Rosacea) and calm inflamed skin. I must add that the Tonique is very refreshing and it works wonders on rosacea. Once my face is clean, I apply the Superbly Gentle Face & Body Balm with mild natural fragrance on sensitive and irritated areas twice daily. It is also recommended on cradle cap for babies, nappy rash & shaving bumps.

I highly recommend Mab Fabulous range if you are after great skin products. Raw Skin Food also have the Imperial Whipped range for eradication of blemishes in combination skin types with a unique ability to inhibit bacterial growth in the skin. There is also the WOW range, which is a holistic cell regenerative process of superfood Omega Rich oils for overnight restoration and concentrated fine tissue areas such as undereye and neck area.

Review: Bianca Marton Handmade Luxury Truffles

I mentioned that I went to the Allergy and Free From Show over the weekend and met lovely companies and here is one of them: Bianca Marton – Genuinely Handmade Luxury Truffles!

As soon as I passed by the stand I had to stop straight away and have a look at the gorgeous truffles: several different flavours from sea salted caramel to poppy seed!

There were so many choices, so I didn’t know which one to try first. Bianca was handing out salted caramel truffles and I had to try since caramel is my favourite flavour!

The flavour of Sea Salted Caramel was amazing, absolutely gorgeous! Rich, but not overpowering! Sweet, but not too sweet! Just right, lovely balance of flavours and textures.

I was so impressed that I volunteered to write a review on Bianca Marton Luxury Truffles! I wanted to take them home and taste some of the gorgeous flavours.

I was given a selection box of 12 Luxury Truffles to taste and a couple of my favourite Sea Salted Caramel truffles in a cellophane bag! Yum!

Bianca Marton are genuinely handmade truffles created from 100% natural and dairy free ingredients, without compromising the mouth-watering flavour and velvety texture!

They are vegan truffles made with organic chocolate and lovely ingredients! The luxury truffles came in a lovely black box with orange ribbon.

In my dairy-free selection box, there was Organic Dark, Raspberry, Strawberry, Summer Berries, Fresh Mint, Mango & Chili, Poppy Seed, Sea Salted Caramel, Coconut, Single Malt Whiskey, Cinnamon and Dark Orange luxury truffles. I already said my favourite flavour is Sea Salted Caramel, but they are amazing! There is a flavour for everyone!

I have noticed there is a 20% discount on Bianca Marton website, so hurry to get your own Genuinely Handmade Luxury Truffles for a great price. You can buy a selection of 12 truffles on special offer for only £10.40 and 24 truffles special offer for only £20!

If you prefer, you could buy single truffles for only £1. Single truffles will be packed in cellophane bags or ballotin boxes depending on order size.

Allergy and Free From Show in London

Today I went to the Allergy and Free From Show in London and had a lovely time!

The Allergy and Free From Show is the UK’s largest annual gathering of people with: allergies, skin & respiratory conditions, coeliac disease, food intolerance & chemical sensitivities.

If you are in Liverpool, you could attend the show later on this year on 27th and 28th October.

I’ve never been to an allergy show before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. As you may be aware, I am lactose intolerant and, although I am not gluten intolerant, I prefer to have gluten-free products.

The show started on Friday and it will be at Olympia until tomorrow, so there is still time to attend. You will have the chance to taste lots of gluten-free and dairy-free cakes, bread, chocolate and even ice cream. They don’t taste any different from standard products, so they are great if you have an intolerance or prefer not to include gluten and dairy in your diet.

Let’s not forget about all the stands for sensitive skin and eczema. I have rosacea, so it was quite refreshing to meet others with the same skin condition.

I met several great companies and I will be talking about them over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled.
